Saint Patrick's day

El miércoles, 13 de marzo, celebramos Saint Patrick ( 17 de marzo).

El acto fue presentado por nuestros asistentes lingüísticos Anyssa, Ben, Daniel y Joey. 

Se entregaron los premios del concurso de escritura en dos categorías, historias cortas y poemas. Los ganadores recibieron una tarjeta regalo de la FNAC. Dichos alumnos leyeron sus relatos.

Se realizaron carteles, recortables de tréboles, presentaciones... relacionados con el tema.

Además, los alumnos, de 2º y 3ºESO de la sección bilingüe de inglés, interpretaron una canción tradicional irlandensa, "The boys of Wexford", tributo a la rebelión irlandesa de 1798.

Gracias a todos los profesores  implicados en el evento y, por supuesto, a nuestros asistentes.

Trip to Toledo

El 30 de enero, 2ºB y 3ºC, grupos de sección bilingüe de inglés visitaron Toledo. Realizaron un tour, en inglés, por los monumentos y edificios más singulares de la ciudad.

Trip to Dublin

Last April we travelled to Dublin, Ireland.  The students from 3º and 4ºESO of "Programa de Ampliación de Inglés" explored the city. We visited Dublinia, Christchurch Cathedral, Phoenix Park, National History Museum, National Gallery, Stephen Green, Trinity College, Cliffs of Howth...

Theater at San Isidro

On the 13th of June 2018 our students enjoyed an interactive performance called "I Spy" by Ñu Accents. The students acted like real actors. It was great fun!

PRIMICIAS NEWS. MARCH 2018

Again our students did it!  They participated in the contest called "Concurso Primicias News. Edición Marzo 2018" of La Comunidad de Madrid. The news for this edition was “¿Debería competir Rusia en los Juegos Olímpicos de invierno?” “Should Russia compete in the Winter olympics?”

As you know "PRIMICIAS NEWS" is a bilingual newspaper written for kids and teenagers which promotes the reading.

Irene Alutiz Gago (12 años) , 1ºESO B, was one of the winners of this edition (Categoría C).

IMMERSION DAY: WORKSHOPS

On the 14th June, we had an English Immersion Day at school. 1st ESO C and D bilingual participated in 3 workshops through the day. The  workshops were held by our English language assistants, Eliza Bradley, Samuel Martínez and Rebecca Ratero. 

The workshops were:

The Drama Workshop led by Eliza B.: the workshop consisted of a variety of theatre games. The participants enjoyed them and there were plenty of laughs shared throughout the game play. They learned some drama techniques (tongue twisters...) and played different roles as truly great actors.

The Sports Workshop led by Samuel M.: Our students, divided into groups, had to design their own logo and team chant. The competitons were held in the school patio: team relay, futbol bowling, slalom hockey, badminton challenge, Frisbee basket, free throw challenge, medicinal ball toss,  obstacle game...They enjoyed a lot!!

The Games Workshop was led by Rebecca R.: the children learned to play a variety of games like Banana slap, Jeopardy, A Mighty Wind Blows, riddles... They had a lot of fun!

PRIMICIAS NEWS 2017

Last March our bilingual students of 1ero ESO participated in a contest called "Concurso Primicias News. Edición Marzo 2017" of La Comunidad de Madrid. The news for this edition was Are e-books better than paper books? (PRIMICIAS News, num.49)

PRIMICIAS NEWS is a bilingual newspaper written for kids and teenagers which promotes the reading.

Laura Cistué (12) , 1ºESO D, was one of the winners of this edition (Categoría C).
